I was born on July 11, 1941, in the city of Landskrona in Sweden. There, and in Lund and Gothenburg, I got my education:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Lund Institute of Technology
- Computer Science courses at the Universities of Gothenburg and Lund
- Studies in Astronomy at the Universities of Gothenburg and Lund
- Ph.D. studies in Astronomy at Lund University.
My professional experience includes the following jobs:
- AB Kockum, R&D Engineer, excavators and civil engineering equipment
- AB Volvo, R&D Engineer, structural mechanics, passenger cars.
- AB Euroc, Technical Manager, development and marketing of solar energy products
- Exoterm AB, my own company, marketing and contracting, solar energy products
- Automation Valves Systems AB, Technical Director, design and marketing of industrial control systems
- Swedish University of Agriculture, Research Engineer, development of sensors and control systems
- Assistant Lecturer at Lund Observatory
My dedication to astronomy has led me to take part in a lot of related activities, for instance:
- Secretary of theAstronomical Society of Tycho Brahe
- Restoring and putting into operation a 90 year old observatory with a 4 inch refractor
- Writing articles on popular astronomy
- Giving lectures on astronomy
- Arranging star parties for the general public when something interesting is visible in the sky
